SATURDAY MORNING

4:55 AM
Well, hello. Yep, it is. Um,

Saturday morning, right?

I think I slept for about 3 hours.

And,

I woke up and kind of laid here for a while. And then, uh,

Looked through some videos. It’s really easy to get sucked into the Facebook reels. Yeah, and then it’s like oh my brain. It hurts. This stuff has been popping up lately called. Uh, the soft white underbelly. And it’s just this guy who interviews all these People.

Like like, Oh, really Different kinds of people there was a couple who were brother and sister. And I thought well and they have a kid together. Haha

And there was this warden from Alabama.

Um, that was interesting and there was this teenage homeless person. And that broke my heart.

And another reel Thing that’s been popping up is, uh, This, um,

Guy who goes around. He’ll like, find an old picture or a grave and he will research the person life and then make a video about it. But that’s really interesting.

I was talking to 1 of my friends. She’s from Latvia. She’s my only Latvian friend and she posts like really cool pictures all the time in her stories and So, I messaged her. I was like, man. I Like, because she lives in

Riga Latvia.

Yeah. And uh,

It just seems really cool. And so, I messaged her, I was like, man, it seems like a really cool City and she messaged me back. She’s like, it’s not It’s awful. Haha

And uh, it kind of made me.

Sad. Because I used to be really fascinated with Latvia when I was a kid. I had a book on Latvia. It’s still in my storage unit.

And uh, she was just talking about how it was a second world country and Everybody looks at it that way, still in Europe and it’s really hard to get out. And she’s a lawyer. And she just seems, I don’t know.

It made me sad.

Like yeah, I’m just this idiot from Alabama. I don’t know. It just looks cool.

It’s got a lot of art, noveau like uh, architecture and shit.

I was also like really fascinated with Estonia for a while, too. But um,

Interestingly enough not Lithuania. That just never really seemed interesting to me.

1 of the 3 Baltic states, right?

The uninteresting 1.

I think Lithuania. And uh, Latvian Are a similar, like,

Or at least the same language group. The Baltic languages. And then Estonia is, Related to Finnish.

But I used to. Uh, go to the bank and get foreign currency. And I would get Estonian Kroons. I thought it was the coolest. Fucking money and I would give it to people as birthday presents. I gave.

Uh my friend, Natalie, some Estonian Kroons.

For her birthday 1 year. Yeah. And I made her a birthday card in Estonian. Gosh in like, 2009. Before they switched to the Euro

But I’ve always been interested in these like really small kind of anomalous. Countries like, uh, Georgia. And Latvia. And Estonia.

I guess those are like the

The main ones, right?

And Cambodia.

And uh, yeah, I don’t know.

I used to have a lot of dreams about Cambodia actually.

And the music that used to come out of Cambodia before the Khmer Rouge

Yeah happened. I’m gonna have to edit that in I don’t know, I’m just, I’ve got 9 days off in a row. I’m waiting until ra into Walmart.

What? Yeah, I’m waiting for Walmart to open. Probably going to leave here in about. 45 minutes. And I’m going to get, I have like 20. Dollars. And I’m going to get hot dogs.

And buns.

And,

Eggs and More Ramen. And that’s what’s going to get me through. Until I get paid Wednesday, let’s see. 5 more days, right?

Well, 4 more, but 5 more because My brains, yeah.

But it was really cool. Last night we got done really early. Um,

About lunchtime. And I went to the gym and I worked out a whole whole bunch and I was really proud of myself because I put a lot more weights on the bench press.

And I was doing like I did a lot more reps. Of a lot more weights than I thought I could do. And it made me feel awesome.

And I did the treadmill for 30 minutes.

I ramped it up. I went really fast but I did the incline up pretty high too. Not as high as it would go. It goes like, even crazier.

I used to do that at the second car factory. I used to work myself stupid. But and it took a few months, but I finally built myself up to where I was like, I would go to the gym for like 2 hours after work, every day. Yeah, every day and night.

Rotating shifts, you know and uh nobody ever Like I went but a handful of people ever really uses the gyms. At the second car factory, like it would be me and maybe 4 or 5 other regular people out of you know a 1000 employees. And it’s the same way here. I was the only person in the gym. After work.

And usually, uh, there’s like

2 maybe 3, you know, regular people.

Just kind of funny. It’s like, here’s this really nice Gym and all my coworkers are like, how in a goddamn hell? Do you have the energy to go to the gym after doing this shit? All fucking, you know, for a whole shift Even like after we get, you know, an hour and a half of overtime. I’m just like I make myself. That’s all you got to do like once I get in there and I start, I start with the 5 pound weights, I’ll do 300 reps and by the time I’ve hit, like, you know, 200 or something. I’m like,

I’m ready to, you know, keep doing it. It just takes a minute. You just have to make yourself and you get on the treadmill on the first 10 minutes sucks ass. But then,

You know, ramp it up a little bit and once you get going, it fucking

Makes you feel awesome and makes you want to do more.

When it really hits me though, is when I get home and I lay down on it and I’m like, holy fucking shit and then I pass out and I sleep, I sleep great because I’ve worn myself out. And then I wake up and I do it again.

And then that’s all it takes. I don’t know.

A lot of people don’t realize because, you know, pain is a barrier there, that’ll keep a lot of people from doing shit if you push through it. You can make your body do all kind of amazing things.

That’s I mean God. Look at gymnasts. You know, look at like I mean people do all kind of crazy shit with their bodies, you just have to make yourself.

I was 1 Thing. My dad always beat into my head. While I was a kid it’s like, you know, you just got to push yourself.

That’s what?

Elevates you, you know, above average, I mean, most people, the path of least resistance gets most people.

Mind over matter, right? You know.

I don’t know, I’m just proud of myself because I got in a really big stupid rut the last couple of years.

Last year was really hard.

And the beginning of this year was really hard.

I can’t wait to get paid next week and go get the kids. I’m trying to think of stuff that I can do that doesn’t cost a whole bunch of money. Because I’m going to have to save money.

But now I’m getting sleepy again.

So, I don’t know. I’m going to try to stay up and go to Walmart because the best time to go to Walmart is when it first opens in the morning because nobody’s there.

Oh,

I’ll probably get some cupcakes too.

Something something everything I can get for. $20.

Yep.

Looking at my emergency food supply. Which was all this Ramen. I bought a few weeks ago. I guess it’s been about a month ago. I’ve only got 2 of them left.

But also have 2 cans of soup.

That I’m probably fixing to eat.

Thank you, please.
