Oh my goodness. Yeah, I found a string, I did, I have a bunch of like odds and ends strings. And the some of them were these, like, 13s, I had taken off.
For uh, I don’t remember but the G string it was a d string that I broke for you know with a 9 gauge strings with the G string on the 13 Strings is actually a little bigger but it’s closed and up, Close enough to the same size As the D. I mean, Uh,
On a, you know, A set of 9s. That I used it. And it works, and that’s great.
What the hell am I going to do today, though? Like, I’m like, I’m up here and I’m just I’ve been practicing, I practiced yesterday is what I did. All day, all day long yesterday. My voice still sounds pretty good.
It’s really funny to sing these songs in standard tuning. I did Honda plant Blues earlier and it sounds like a, what’s the dude? Uh, I don’t know. His name is Stevie Ray Vaughan’s brother. Yeah. Uh he had the Fabulous Thunderbirds or something, it kind of sounds like that. Yeah. Sounds like some kind of like Texas.
Uh, Blues rock stuff. Haha
In standard tuning, it sounds. You know, like everything I play in C. Standard has kind of a dark element to it because it’s, you know, in a lower tone lower, you know, key.
And it fits my voice. Actually, a lot of bands, probably the most popular band using a C tuning. That I can think of Like that would probably have to be, uh, Morphine. Yeah.
And then, you know, they’re not that popular but like Acid Bath, they use C standard and drop B flat.
But I’ve used C standard.
Since the late 90s. Yeah.
Because I like, uh,
Back then especially I was all into Acid Bath. And um, I think
Just that real low tone like down. You know, the band feeling like other band, fill in cello. Yeah. Phil and Selmo really. I guess so.
But uh,
Their first 1, I liked back in the 90s and that’s what tuning they used. And,
I want to say Corrosion of Conformity and I don’t like any of their stuff before Deliverance or after Wiseblood, which I guess is just 2 albums, you know? But uh, Their stuff was in drop C most of it but you can play it in C standard. I just got that’s the that’s what influenced me though. And sound garden. They had like a lot of Open C tunings.
Uh, I just like the low tone. And it goes good with my voice and I can make up shit. It doesn’t sound like anything else, you know.
That’s kind of what I always. Always liked about that. And so a lot of the bands that I was in, we used
Lower, you know, drop tunings.
Of course in the late 90s, 7 string guitars got popular and I had 1 and That’s what we used with analog, cracker was 7 string, you know guitar and a 5 string bass. We were tuned to a drop A
Drop A yeah, we used drop A flat with lot lizard.
Oh my goodness.
But I’ve always liked always liked lower tunings.
You know, see. C standard has always been my preferred tuning. I’m just I don’t know, it’s because I’m fucking with this concept album and then I’m also just practicing, you know, I need to get another guitar. And keep in C standard and have 1 for standard tuning.
Oh man. I got
Earlier, I went to Sound
Sam’s Club. Yeah, I have a membership.
And I got a Coke and a pizza. For like, it was 2 dollars. And 50 cents.
It’s funny how out of practice and out of shape, like, my playing and singing is Has gotten like compared to what I was, you know back in the day when I practiced all the time and that’s all it takes though, to get it back.
That’s the shitty part of being a musician, is practicing all the time.
Rehearsal. Yeah.
More than anything right. Now I’m I’m getting my voice back in shape. All the smoking and not singing. I did. The last. 7, or 8 months. You know, it took its toll
Well crap. I don’t know what else to say. I’m just like taking a break.
Maybe I’ll tune up the banjo.
The twin flames chick song sounds the best on Banjo I was fucking around with it on guitar. I wrote a song like on Banjo.
Oh gosh. I don’t even want to talk about it. I don’t want to talk about this stuff. I don’t it’s made me so sad.
Driven me. Completely crazy. Absolutely. Just
Retarded crazy, stupid crazy and made me.
Really, really sad and empty feeling.
And I don’t know what else to say about it. It’s like
Yeah.
I mean, I don’t know. I’m going to edit that last part out.
Thank you, please.
